Intro to Zoom Overview Online

Note: These sessions are assuming you have a Zoom account created using your @uregina.ca email address. To create an account before this session, please refer to https://www.uregina.ca/remote-teaching/zoom.html#integrate. The Zoom account email should match your UR Courses email (found in UR Courses profile).

This Zoom session will cover the following Zoom topics (subject to change).

  • Define synchronous (Zoom) vs asynchronous (UR Courses)
  • Adding Zoom activity in UR Courses
  • Changing settings in zoom.us
  • Updating the Zoom desktop and mobile app to the most recent version
  • Chat options - private vs public
  • Participants list options - Yes, No voting
    • Hosts/cohosts/alternative hosts
  • Sharing screen, whiteboard
